All things educational belong here, there is no right or wrong, we all have valuable input to share.
Jerri Ann Reason
Jerri Ann Reason is an internet-junkie who has been writing online since 1999. She has 2 boys, ages 6 and 8, and is married to a man she affectionately calls Boy Genius on her personal blog, Mom~E~Centric. She is constantly begging him for more and more tech support as she ventures out in different directions online. Mom~E~Centric is home to all things personal and professional. There’s not a topic out there that I haven’t tried to tackle. It’s about learning life and learning how to take the punches and put them in their place. Landing a punch is not near as important as feeling like you are in the fight. Jerri Ann was the Social Media Consultant for a campaign with The Allstate Foundation and the Birmingham YWCA entitled the Purple Purse.  Jerri Ann was able to secure former reality TV star, Ella Nolan, as a guest speaker and Southern Living’s Greg Schumann as the host. Jerri Ann represented Alabama in Washington DC as the delegate to Mom Congress for Parenting Magazine. She currently keeps an education blog active as well as her personal blog. She has since started a non-profit, Educate My Alabama, based on the information she gathered at Mom Congress as well as from her visit to Education Nation. Educate My Alabama is the daughter site to Education Uncensored is a place for individuals to meet and discuss the education that we as a society are providing for our children.  She also maintains a nutrition and weight loss blog at Don’t Eat That.  She just recently started a satirical blog where she answers questions regarding advice in its silliest form.  This Ain’t No Blue Jean Body has yet to officially launch but hopefully by June 1st this blog will a work in progress. Over the course of the last 10 years, Jerri Ann has managed to maintain several blogs in various niche’s as well as handle product reviews and currently serves as a Social Media Consultant for a handful of companies.  It’s extremely rare for Jerri Ann to turn down projects and continuously juggles her online life with that of her busy children and her loving husband.  Jerri Ann logs her travels through an online site she created known as Traveling with Mom~E~Centric.  You can see various press trips, review trips and other social media and education related trips from her bird’s eye view. Jerri Ann has a B.S. in Education and a M.A in Counseling but found out the hard way that walking and Tweeting is the fastest way to a broken leg. With a variety of irons in the fire, Jerri Ann proclaims to be the most un-domestic female she knows. She does her best to keep her home afloat while covering sporting events, teaching online, diving into social media and blogging her heart out. She prefers to merely let the mounds of dirty laundry and dirty dishes rise up around her. One day! One day she cries…one day I’ll clean this place up and hire a maid. Until then, look for her around every corner, she seems to be creeping up in hot spots like her local paper. This will be her third year in a row to be featured in their October Women’s World Edition. Watch out world, here she comes!
