After 22 years in the US Navy I decided to raise my family in Wisconsin. I don't like the winters, I don't like the state income tax, BUT Wisconsin, at least the area we live in near Appleton, WI is a much better environment to raise a family. Not so much crime, not so much drugs, and the education system is in the top ranks. The cons are that we have to watch out for tractors crossing the road but I am glad that I made the decision to have my family here. I am originally from Miami Florida.
