Your Purchasing Power
Posted in Featured educationIt’s not often that we have to think about buying appliances. We’ve been fairly lucky in that department and hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself. When we sold the daycare we kept some odds and ends that we had always wanted anyway. We had been looking at freezers for home for sometime, but never really found that it was the right time. That was the right time. Now, it does stay full of things like frozen pizza and the like but our upright really has no freezer room.
Now, we are at an impasse as we try to decide what to do about the dishwasher. We don’t force our children to make adult decisions but we do try to include them in the discussion. Our dishwasher has been torn up for about a year. My husband hot wired it together for a long time. Another lesson my children didn’t really need to learn.
Anyway, we don’t even eat at home that often but for some reason, we can’t seem to keep the dishes all washed up. So, we started looking for the best possible shopping deals we could find. We talked about this in front of the kids and hope that as we go about finding the shopping prices online as well as in the Sunday circulars.
And, as usual, my son can’t quit talking about our new dishwasher…you know the one that’s still in the store and waiting on someone to make a decision to make the purchase. I guess it will be me that makes the trek into town but I’m definitely sticking to my self-imposed budget.
