After my positive experience in school working on my degree for two years I decided that I wanted to get some experience working in the field in order to supplement my education. I did not want to have an internship as the rest of my class mates were because how I got started on this educational path was with an internship in the field when I was much younger. Basically the time had come for me when I was ready to know more about how the professionals worked in criminal justice field and I wanted to jump into a job as well as continue to work toward my degree. I went onto hughes net and found out that my university did offer online courses in criminal justice so I signed up for a part time class schedule for one semester . I was able to get a job with a criminal justice lawyer and still continue my classes using hughes internet in Michigan. I was able to land the job and schedule my class times around the job so that working both into my schedule was a breeze. Studying criminal justice online and working part time for a lawyer was the best thing I could have ever done for my personal development. I learned more this way than I ever could have by sitting in a class room learning by the text book. I know that next summer I am definitely going to renew my hughes net packages and sign up for more classes. The criminal justice lawyer I worked for already offered to hire me part-time again next summer!

I discuss quite frequently how I don’t think I am really cut out for homeschooling. I’ve taught various ages ranging from kindergarten through grade twelve. And, honestly, I didn’t like it. To say I didn’t enjoy it is a drastic understatement. However, in the last couple of months, I’ve been given the opportunity to teach and this time the students are adults.
And, thus far, I’ve taught a couple of sessions online through webinars and I’ve taught a short bit at the parent teacher meeting this week where my son goes to school.
And, honestly, it was heavenly. So, I have one ebook available on Jerri Ann and I am available to set up webinars at the request of students. Throw in a side of teaching for Online Solutions and Capella University and you’ve got one busy schedule. And to think I didn’t even mention the parenting classes that I’m teaching at the school for parents who aren’t computer savvy but want to learn to use the school systems student monitoring system.
And with that, I dip my hat into a new pond…
