Casey Heynes is a celebrity now.  Why?  Because he turned the tables on a bully and someone caught it on videotape.  As you all know, I’m a big fighter when it comes to bullying of any kind.  Don’t think it just happens at school with grammar school kids.  Adults verbally bully one another all the time.  It happens, cyber space just made it a lot easier.

So, what went wrong?

1.  Someone actually stood by the wayside and videotaped this incident instead of intervening.  What are we thinking here people?

2.  The kid had been bullied to the point of no return.  Again, where were the responsible adults?

3.  Both kids were suspended, leaving the score unsettled with the bullying getting away with all but one incident so far.  The victim, even more victimized.

4.  The manner in which the victim chose to taken down the bully was insane.  Obviously, 1, 2 and 3 came into play and the kid had simply reached his breaking point.  But, honestly, you can see far less brutal moves on a good wrestling smack down. No I don’t watch, but I’ve seen it before and I do my best to keep it away from my children.  Thus they become confused with what is reality and what is fake.

So why is this wrong?  You tell me.
